Come spend a couple of hours (exact distance unknown, should be a 2 hour hike) on an easy/moderate hike through the woods with the destination being the Advocate Tree, one of the oldest redwoods in the forest, which was uprooted during the rains of 2017. I take my hiking sticks to use during a part of the hike; they are especially helpful for the steeper slopes.. Meet at 10 am Thursday, November 8th. There is an entrance fee for park entry, so carpooling would be good; a State Park pass works too. Park in the area next to the entrance station.
Let’s first meet in the area just as you turn left off of Soquel Dr. onto Aptos Creek Rd. We can carpool from there into the Park. Remember water and snacks.
Please email Sally directly (members should be able to see contact info when logged in) or reach out to her by contacting the office at info@villagesantacruz.org or 831-824-2404 if you would like to join the hike.
