It’s time for another Movie Night at the Del Mar Theatre! Come to the big screen to watch the meaningful film Being Mortal and stay for a community-driven panel discussion with local experts. This Frontline documentary follows surgeon and award-winning author Atul Gawande, MD, author of the bestselling book by the same name. It investigates the practice of caring for the dying, and shows how doctors, Dr. Gawande included, are often untrained and uncomfortable talking about chronic illness and death with their patients. You're invited to stay for a follow up discussion with local experts including Gloria Reed, Chief Clinical Officer at Hospice of Santa Cruz County. The panel will last approximately 20 minutes. If Village members are interested, RSVP info@villagesantacruz.org. We can meet in the lobby and watch the film and discussion together. While there's no cost, tickets are required. [note: this does not reserve you a ticket]. This is a FREE event but you must have a ticket. To reserve a ticket please click the RESERVE TICKETS button below. RESERVE TICKETS
