Ballot Initiative Study

Ballot Initiative Study—a Village-wide event.  We will discuss the pros and cons of the various initiatives. Each person who signs up will be assigned a particular ballot initiative—pro or con—depending on the number of people who “attend” this Zoom event.  Since Democracy is participatory and interactive, studying together with input from individual members, will have the most value.   The State & County Voter Handbooks will hopefully have arrived by then in your mailbox.  Meanwhile, please watch for discussions in the media as we await the official info.

On September 16th the Democratic Women's Club of Santa Cruz County hosted a Zoom event about statewide propositions that will appear on the November ballot. John Laird, who is running for State Senator, presented summaries and analyses of these propositions and gave out some helpful links:
